YOUR CHILDREN NEED YOU!

Foundation and Key Stage 1 are keen to expand our resources for the children.  This week we had a brilliant donation of some camouflage netting no longer needed (thanks Mrs Evangelou!).    If you have any of the following that you are keen to clear out from your home and donate to school we would be very grateful (in working condition please):

  • play kitchen or workshop
  • play plastic food, tea sets, etc
  • small plastic play table/chairs  suitable for outdoor use
  • small world toys eg play people, animals, dinosaurs, wooden or metal cars and vehicles, fairy dolls or action heroes, underwater creatures, plastic minibeasts etc
  • clip boards
  • Lego or duplo, wooden train track, etc
  • toy shop tills, play phones, toy post office accessories
  • pet shop/vet accessories, eg cheap dog bowls, leads, unused pet toys

Please let one of the Reception or Key Stage 1 team know - many thanks in advance.

Slipper Day

Slipper Day

Hollywood Pupil Council have found some research on the benefits of wearing slippers in school. It is supposed to help with concentration, behaviour and emotional well being. We asked the pupils and they unanimously voted to have a slipper day and carry out some research of our own to see if we agree. Pupils should bring their slippers or slipper socks along with them to school - if your child has neither they can bring an extra pair of old socks that you don’t mind getting a bit grubby. Please bear in mind that pupils will need shoes to wear outside during play/lunch times.
Thank you from Mrs Keegan.
