Harvest Festival

Harvest Festival 2014

On Wednesday 11th October, we will be holding our Harvest Festival service at Immanuel Church. As part of our community cohesion work, during the service each class will present a hamper of donations which will then be distributed amongst members of our local community.

From Monday 2nd October, we would be so grateful to receive donations of dried, packet or tinned goods which can be added to your child’s class hamper. Store cupboard staples such as pasta, rice, powdered/UHT milk, coffee, sugar, meat soups and tuna, and some sweet products such as tinned fruit, rice pudding or custard are all great ideas and all donations, however small, will be gratefully received. Any toiletry donations (toothpaste, shampoo or soap are also appreciated).

Unfortunately, due to space in the church, we are unable to invite parents to this service but pictures and details will be added to our school website.

Many thanks, Mrs G Brown

Foundation and Key Stage 1 are keen to expand our resources for the children.  This week we had a brilliant donation of some camouflage netting no longer needed (thanks Mrs Evangelou!).    If you have any of the following that you are keen to clear out from your home and donate to school we would be very grateful (in working condition please):

  • play kitchen or workshop
  • play plastic food, tea sets, etc
  • small plastic play table/chairs  suitable for outdoor use
  • small world toys eg play people, animals, dinosaurs, wooden or metal cars and vehicles, fairy dolls or action heroes, underwater creatures, plastic minibeasts etc
  • clip boards
  • Lego or duplo, wooden train track, etc
  • toy shop tills, play phones, toy post office accessories
  • pet shop/vet accessories, eg cheap dog bowls, leads, unused pet toys

Please let one of the Reception or Key Stage 1 team know - many thanks in advance.
